EXPERIENCE
Elizabeth’s practice focuses on employment law, with a particular focus on employment related investigations and compliance training for large and small companies and government entities. As an employment litigator, Elizabeth has provided compliance advice and full service litigation support to business clients since 1992. Her practice has spanned the gamut of advice and counseling to avoid legal issues, as well as help in drafting and negotiating employment related agreements. She has extensive experience in assisting clients who are facing EEOC charges or other proceedings in the employment context, and has appeared on behalf of clients in administrative, state and federal proceedings on these issues.
As a neutral workplace investigator, Elizabeth has conducted many hundreds of investigations in Colorado and around the nation since 1994. Elizabeth has investigated complaints involving public corruption, company-wide race discrimination, sexual harassment, rape, assault, ethics violations, ethnic origin discrimination, hostile work environment, retaliation and employee misconduct. Elizabeth has provided investigations for Federal and local governments, Fortune 100 and 500 companies, small family-run businesses, professional partnerships and every sized organization in between. Elizabeth is a recognized expert in employee investigations, has trained human resource professionals in conducting investigations, and has spoken and written on this subject for a variety of audiences. In her HR consulting role, Elizabeth has been providing executive level support resources to clients since 1994. As a compliance trainer, Elizabeth has provided HR audits and training to managers and staff of numerous companies in a wide variety of subject areas. Her expertise includes harassment training for managers, lawful hiring and firing, wage and hour issues, performance management, investigating internal complaints and performance management for human resource professionals and in-house counsel.
